| NEWS RELEASE May 11, 2007 Gene A. Pease joins the OWASA Board of Directors On Thursday, May 10th, Gene A. Pease took the oath of office as a member of the OWASA Board of Directors. He is an appointee of the Chapel Hill Town Council. Mr. Pease is the President, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and a Board Member of Capital Analytics, Inc. based in Durham, North Carolina. Capital Analytics is a consulting and technology company that analyzes human capital investments such as training, rewards, eLearning, benefits, and other initiatives of corporate clients. Mr. Pease has significant strategic planning and senior management corporate experience. Prior to Capital Analytics, Mr. Pease was a Board Member and CEO for five separate early-stage and mid-cap corporations. Mr. Pease received a Master of Business Administration degree, with honors, in Entrepreneur and Venture Management from the University of Southern California; and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Architecture degree from the University of Cincinnati. He serves on the Board of and was the founding Chairman of the Entrepreneurs Partnership of the Triangle Community Foundation. He is the President of the Chapel Hill Library Foundation and a Board Member and past President of the Gimghoul Historic District, and he serves on the Town of Chapel Hill’s Planning Board. In 2005, he was Chairman of the Chapel Hill Citizens Budget Committee and Vice-Chairman of the Horace Williams Citizens Committee. Mr. Pease is married to Pamela Pease, an artist and the owner of Paintbox Press, the publishers of The Garden is Open, Macy’s on Parade, and Derby Day. They have two daughters, Tiffany, a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a newspaper designer for the San Jose Mercury; and Heather, a recent graduate of the University of Kentucky, and a designer at Jordan Childs, the oldest advertising agency in Lexington, Kentucky.
