Biosolids Master Plan

On May 30, 2007 the OWASA Board’s Natural Resources and Technical Systems Committee discussed a Preliminary Draft Biosolids Master Plan Phase I Report prepared by OWASA staff. Please click here to see a summary of that meeting.The Phase I Report will provide an overview of OWASA’s biosolids management program, future requirements, and potential technologies and strategies for long-term biosolids management.

The Committee directed staff to make certain changes to the draft that was reviewed on May 30. A revised draft report will be posted on our Website in July.  At a time and in a manner determined by the OWASA Board of Directors, OWASA will invite citizens to ask questions and make comments on the draft Phase I Report.  After further review of that report, including the short list of preferred technologies and management strategies, OWASA will prepare a draft Phase II report with an evaluation of selected strategies and a proposed implementation plan for the preferred strategy.
