Dan Przybyl began work on Monday as OWASA’s new Business Information Services (BIS) Director. His last name is pronounced PRĬZ-ĕ-bĕl.

OWASA’s Business Information Services Department provides information technology (IT) and related services to OWASA departments.

A native of Montville, Connecticut, Mr. Przybyl has over twenty years of experience in IT infrastructure, service delivery and solutions design.  

Ed Kerwin, OWASA’s Executive Director, said that “We look forward to Dan’s leadership and expertise in the continuing improvement of our information technology and management system. Our information system is usually not visible to our customers, but it is instrumental in the quality of our services and will help increase our efficiency and reduce our service costs.”

Before joining OWASA, Dan was the Director of Information Systems for the Mohegan Tribe in Uncasville, CT for the last six years as the tribal government experienced rapid growth. Previously, he was a program manager for the Computer Sciences Corporation, where he had assignments in New Orleans and on Wall Street. He began his career as a software developer with McLaughlin Research Corporation and he has worked as a self-employed IT consultant.

Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Connecticut State University.

He and his wife Lori have been married for twenty years and have two children, Brittany and Michael. Dan is a diehard Green Bay Packers fan, and he especially enjoys raising fruit trees, coaching youth sports and family activities.
