Randy Kabrick, P.E., Chair, was appointed to the OWASA Board in July, 2004 and he has served as Vice Chair and Secretary.
Mr. Kabrick is a Senior Vice President with The RETEC Group, Inc., a national environmental consulting and engineering firm with an office in Morrisville. His work has focused on industrial water, wastewater, and hazardous and non hazardous solid waste.
Mr. Kabrick received his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and Master of Science degree in environmental science and engineering from Virginia Tech. Mr. Kabrick is a registered professional engineer in several states including North Carolina. In addition, he is Board-Certified Environmental Engineer by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers . He is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and the Cornell Engineering Alumni Association.
Randy moved to Chapel Hill from Austin, Texas with his family in 1996. He is a former board member of the ARC of Orange County and is the past Chair of the Town of Chapel Hill’s Horace Williams Citizens’ Committee. He is also the Chair of the American Council of Engineering Companies (North Carolina) annual Environmental Conference. Mr. Kabrick serves as RETEC's representative to the American Petroleum Institute.
