OWASA expects to restore water service on West Rosemary Street later this evening; normal traffic expected Friday morning

Distributed at 8 PM on October 19, 2017

Later this evening, OWASA expects to complete a water line repair on West Rosemary Street near Pritchard Avenue, and to restore water service to four affected customers.

Pavement work in the repair area is pending. OWASA expects that traffic flow will return to normal on West Rosemary Street before the rush hour Friday morning.

Customers in the vicinity may notice discoloration or air bubbles in water due to the repair. If water is discolored, please run cold water for 5 to 10 minutes. If this does not clear the water, please contact OWASA at 919-968-4421 (24-hour number).

OWASA does not plan to send another update tonight unless conditions change.

Background: The water pipe repair began Wednesday night when a sinkhole caused by the broken pipe was found in West Rosemary Street. West Rosemary Street was closed to through traffic from North Columbia Street to Church Street to enable the repair.
