Recreation and Facilities

University Lake will be open four days per week for boating, fishing and other recreation through November 9th. The Cane Creek Reservoir will be open on Saturdays from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Please see the information for each lake for more details.

University Lake, which is near the south end of Old Fayetteville Road on the west side of Carrboro, offers picnic areas, boat rentals, and fishing at a fully accessible dock as well as on the lake. Please click here for more information.

The Cane Creek Reservoir, which is about 8 miles west of Carrboro on the north side of NC 54, offers boat rentals, fishing, a nature trail and picnic areas. Please click here for more information.

Jones Ferry Water Treatment Plant

Mason Farm Wastewater Treatment Plant
