Wastewater overflow on September 14th at Eastowne

OWASA responded on Wednesday, September 14th to a spill of untreated wastewater from a sewer on Eastowne Drive near its western intersection with Providence Road.

OWASA estimates that the overflow totaled about 2,300 gallons. The OWASA crew flushed the spill area with water.

The overflow occurred because a contractor damaged the sewer. The spill occurred in an area that drains to New Hope Creek.
