Lakes open on Labor Day

OWASA’s offices at 400 Jones Ferry Road, Carrboro, will close for the Labor Day holiday (Monday, September 4th) but OWASA’s lakes will be open for recreation from 6:30 AM to 6 PM.

“We cordially invite our hard working residents to take a rest and enjoy the excellent recreation and nature’s beauty at our Cane Creek Reservoir and University Lake,” said Johnny Riley, OWASA’s Senior Lakes Warden.

Contacting OWASA for assistance when offices are closed

When OWASA’s offices are closed, personnel are on call to respond to service interruptions, leaks in OWASA pipes, wastewater overflows, etc.

Customers are welcome to call OWASA at 919-968-4421 (24-hour number). OWASA personnel are on duty at all times at the Jones Ferry Road Water Treatment Plant in Carrboro and they receive calls to OWASA after normal business hours.

Account information and payment options

Customers may get account information or make on-line bill payments at any time through Manage My Account. on the OWASA website, VISA®, MasterCard® and Discover® are accepted. Customers may also use the new pay by text option for bill payments. To register, please go to Manage My Account.

Information about account balances, payment due dates, etc. is available by calling OWASA’s 24-hour Customer Service line, 919-537-4343. To get information through this line, please use the 14-digit account number on the OWASA bill.

Customers may leave bill payments in the night drop box at the driveway in front of the OWASA Administration Building at 400 Jones Ferry Road, Carrboro. Customers are asked to include their account numbers on checks.
