Lane closings on Raleigh Road east of Country Club Road, closing part of Lindsay Street

  • Raleigh Road east of Country Club Road (Monday and Tuesday)

On Monday, April 27, a contractor working for OWASA will close the outer westbound lane of Raleigh Road between 9 AM and 4 PM to reline a sanitary sewer. On Tuesday, April 28, the contractor will close the outer eastbound lane from 9 AM to 4 PM.

The timing of the work (please see map below) is subject to weather and other conditions.

The purpose of the sewer work is to help prevent wastewater overflows by keeping stormwater and groundwater from entering the sewers through cracks, and exceeding the capacity of the sewer.

  1. Lindsay Street east of Mitchell Lane (Monday through Wednesday)

From Monday, April 27 through Wednesday, April 29, a contractor working for OWASA will close part of the 400 block of Lindsay Street between 9 AM and 4 PM to repair and reline a sanitary sewer.

The timing of the work (please see map below) is subject to weather and other conditions.

Signs at various locations in the area will alert drivers to the street closing and the detour around the closing. Traffic will be detoured to Cotton and McDade Streets and Mitchell Lane. The contractor will put a steel plate over the work area so Lindsay Street will be open to traffic after the work hours.
