OWASA is pleased to announce the appointment of Linda Low to the role of Communications and Community Relations Officer. Linda joins OWASA with an extensive background in communications and community engagement. From 2010 to 2016, Linda served the International Red Cross supporting sustainable community development. Previously she held senior communications roles in the corporate sector. More recently she was a Peace Fellow at the Duke-UNC Rotary Peace Center where she facilitated dialogue in communities across the Triangle, convening diverse voices on issues of common interest to promote civil discourse and decrease polarization.
Linda recently graduated with a Master's degree from Duke University where she focused on policy-making, community development, and the impacts of climate change. She is pleased to call the Chapel Hill-Carrboro community home where she resides with her family.
"I'm thrilled to be joining the OWASA team and even more excited to engage in dialogue with folks in Carrboro, Chapel Hill, Orange County, the University and neighboring communities," said Linda Low. "I am committed to serving our communities to ensure sustainable use of our precious water resources."
"Linda's commitment to engage and empower people with knowledge and to receive their feedback will allow the OWASA team to continue to improve our services and programs," said Ed Kerwin, Executive Director.
