OWASA's offices at 400 Jones Ferry Road, Carrboro, will close for Independence Day but OWASA's lakes will be open for recreation Wednesday from 6:30 am to 6 pm.
"On this day when families come together in celebration, we invite the public to enjoy nature's beauty and recreation at our lakes," said Johnny Riley, OWASA's Senior Lakes Warden. Continued Riley: "A fishing license is not required on July Fourth; we encourage everyone to take advantage of this fun opportunity."
Contacting OWASA for assistance when offices are closed
When OWASA's offices are closed, personnel remain on call. Customers are welcome to contact OWASA at 919-968-4421 (24-hour number). OWASA personnel at the Jones Ferry Road Water Treatment Plant in Carrboro are on duty at all times and they receive calls to OWASA after normal business hours.
Account information and payment options
Customers may get account information or make on-line bill payments any time by visiting Manage My Account on the OWASA website. VISA®, MasterCard® and Discover® are accepted. Customers can also pay for their OWASA bill by text. To register, please visit Manage My Account.
Information about account balances, payment due dates, etc., is available by calling the 24-hour Customer Service line at 919-537-4343. To get information through this line, please use the 14-digit account number on the OWASA bill.
Customers may leave bill payments in the night drop box at the driveway in front of the OWASA Administration Building at 400 Jones Ferry Road, Carrboro. Customers are asked to include their account numbers on checks.
