OWASA’s Board of Directors met virtually on Thursday, April 28, 2022, and considered an agenda that included discussions on the Fiscal Year 2023 Budget draft.
The Board of Directors is currently meeting virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Budget
The Board authorized staff to publish a draft Fiscal Year 2023 budget, which includes an increase in monthly water and sewer rates of 16%. The Board is scheduled to hold a public hearing on May 12, 2022. Approval of the final budget and rate increase is scheduled for June 9, 2022.
Long-Range Water Supply Plan Update
The Board received an update on the Long-Range Water Supply Plan and Western Intake Parternership and provided feedback to staff.
Officer Nominations
The Board nominated candidates to serve in officer roles (Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary) for the Board for Fiscal Year 2023. Election of officers is scheduled for June 9, 2022.
