OWASA’s Board of Directors met on Thursday, October 13, 2022, and considered an agenda that included the draft Annual Comprehensive Financial Report and the Operating Trends Report for Fiscal Year 2022.
Annual Comprehensive Financial Report
The Board received the draft Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2022. Martin, Starnes, and Associates recently completed its audit and issued an unmodified opinion, which means that the independent auditor found OWASA’s financial records and statements to be appropriate and comply with General Accepted Accounting Principles.
Operating Trends Report for Fiscal Year 2022
The Board received the Operating Trends Report for Fiscal Year 2022. The report summarizes observed trends in customer demands, water supply and drinking water treatment, wastewater treatment, the reclaimed water system and environmental regulations to ensure OWASA continues providing high-quality services.
Lake Recreation FAQ
The Board received lake recreation frequently asked questions and agreed to remove the Annual Lake Report from the Board’s 12-Month Board Meeting Schedule.
Budget Format
The Board received an update on the development of a new budget format to provide more insight into the budget process and enhance decision-making for the Board.
