OWASA Temporarily Removing Manning Drive Water Tank from Service for Regular Maintenance

OWASA will take the Manning Drive Elevated Water Tank out of service for routine maintenance that is scheduled to begin Monday, February 1, 2021. No customer impacts are expected as part of this preventative maintenance project.

The elevated tank holds roughly 1 million gallons of treated drinking water for OWASA customers and is one of four elevated tanks across the service area.

While the tank is out of service, a contractor will inspect and clean the inside of the water tank. OWASA expects the tank to be back in service by Monday, February 8, 2021.

OWASA targets winter months for this routine maintenance because water system demand is typically lower than in warmer months of the year. With demand lower than normal, there should not be any stress on the storage capacity and ability to deliver drinking water to customers.
