Barclay Rd. Water Line Replacement

Dear Customer:

In mid-September a contractor working for OWASA began work to replace the water line along Barclay Rd and Weiner St as shown on the map on the back. The contractor has completed approximately 80% of the work that has been needed to replace aging water lines in the neighborhood.

Due to difficult subsurface conditions encountered (unsuitable soils, large boulders, etc), the work is progressing slower than originally anticipated. The contractor now expects to be complete in the Spring of 2020. Please know that in an effort to maintain progress under the difficult conditions, the contractor has been using multiple construction crews and is working diligently to get the project done.

The contractor will complete the process of connecting water service pipes to the new water main. This will require isolated, planned interruptions of water service in the areas of work. If your service is to be affected by a planned service interruption, you will receive notification with more details at least 48 hours in advance of the work, followed by a boil water advisory once the work is complete.
