06 Sep Work hours extended in East Rosemary Street water line replacement (Sept. 7-8)
On Wednesday, September 7th and Thursday, September 8th, the contractor working for OWASA will work from 7 AM to 5 PM.
East Rosemary Street will be closed to through traffic between Henderson and Hillsborough Streets during the contractor’s work hours, and drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes.
On Friday, September 9th, the contractor will resume normal work hours between 9 AM and 4 PM.
The water line project may be complete in the spring of 2017, but the timetable is subject to change due to weather and other factors.
The purpose of project, which also included work on part of Hillsborough and Henderson Streets, is to maintain reliable water service including water for fire protection when needed.
